About Me
Hi, I'm Luisa - author and blogger full of bright ideas! While I’m on the journey of publishing my first novel, I thought I’d share inspiration, tips and advice to fellow writers looking to share their own stories with the world.
You can follow me on Instagram and my Facebook Author Page for more insights into my writing process and journey!
Growing Up...
I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, Canada - the youngest of three girls. Although my sisters and I were close growing up, I'd always exclaim "different again!" because I had such different interests, hobbies and mannerisms, compared to the rest of my family. Luckily, they didn't label me the black sheep. They simply marvelled at my uniqueness and "bright ideas", as they called them.
Many of those bright ideas involved countless works of poetry, stories, songs and plays (some of which my eldest sister Amy has kept and continues to read out loud at family functions).
I'm an adult now, but that hasn't stifled my creativity. I've fully embraced my quirks and bright ideas, and I have taken the leap to write, share and publish my work.

My Love of Reading...
I loved reading at an early age, and still have most of my childhood books!
Some of my favourites growing up were The Babysitter’s Club, Babysitters Little Sister, Goosebumps books, and loved everything written by Roald Dahl, Louis Sachar, Sharon Stewart and Bernice Thurman Hunter.
As I grew, I started to enjoy fantasy and paranormal novels such as Harry Potter, The Twilight Saga, The Vampire Diaries, Twitches, and The Magic in Manhattan series. Now that I'm in my 30s, I'm diving into the romance genre. I'm currently obsessed with fantasy romance genre.
My background has mostly focused on non-fiction. My favourites in the last five years have been Grit by Angela Duckworth, Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo, and of course Rachel Aaron and K.M Weiland's writing guides.

Inspiration...

My inspiration stems from music, beloved TV series, books and places I've traveled. I'm looking forward to sharing more about how my experiences have shaped my stories and other creative pursuits.
My Life in New Brunswick...
